Ingredients

2 cups rolled oats
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon baking powder
2 cups milk of choice
1 egg
1 ripe pear, sliced thinly
1/3 cup chopped walnuts
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 tablespoons Manuka Hunters mānuka honey, plus extra for serving

Optional toppings:
Greek yoghurt
Extra pear (or other fruit) slices
Additional walnuts


Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C and lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the oats, cinnamon, ginger, and baking powder.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, vanilla, and mānuka honey.
  4. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until combined.
  5. Transfer the mixture into the baking dish and top with sliced pear and chopped walnuts.
  6. Bake for 30–35 minutes until golden on top and set in the centre.
  7. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
  8. Finish with an extra drizzle of mānuka honey and your choice of yoghurt or additional toppings.
