Manuka Honey yoghurt berry smoothie

Mānuka Honey Kids’ Every-Season Berry Smoothie

Smoothies aren’t just for summer. In fact, winter is when they can become one of the easiest ways to keep nutrition simple, fast, and appealing for kids.

Smoothies are for every season!

This winter berry smoothie is creamy, naturally sweet, and packed with frozen berries, banana, and yoghurt. A light drizzle of lower-MGO Mānuka honey adds gentle sweetness without overpowering the natural fruit flavour.

It’s quick to make, easy to adapt, and ideal for busy mornings or after-school refuelling.

Ingredients (Serves 1–2 children)

  • 1 cup frozen mixed berries
  • 1 ripe banana
  • ¾ cup natural yoghurt
  • ½ cup milk (dairy or plant-based)
  • 1 tsp chia seeds (optional)
  • 1 tsp lower-MGO Mānuka honey (to taste)

Method

  1. Add berries, banana, yoghurt, milk, and chia seeds to a blender.
  2. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  3. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.
  4. Pour into glasses and finish with a light drizzle of Mānuka honey on top.
  5. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use frozen banana for a thicker, milkshake-style texture
  • Add spinach for an invisible nutrient boost (kids won’t taste it)
  • Swap berries for mango in a milder variation
  • Keep honey minimal for younger children or lower sweetness preference
